About the role
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Manager of Administration to lead operations for its New York office. This highly visible role partners closely with firm leadership to oversee office operations, administrative staff, facilities, budgeting, employee engagement, and strategic initiatives while ensuring exceptional service to attorneys and business professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with office leadership to foster a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.
- Oversee daily office operations, staffing, workflows, and administrative support functions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop administrative professionals, including performance management and coaching.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding processes.
- Manage office budgets, financial reporting, billing support, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee facilities, office space planning, security, business continuity, and building management relationships.
- Drive operational improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with firm departments on lateral attorney onboarding, office projects, and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 4+ years of office administration, operations, and/or HR management experience; law firm experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and office operations.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, and project management skills.
- Experience with recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and onboarding.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional, highly responsive, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
