100% Export Oriented Knit Garments Manufacturing Company is looking for Manager-Maintenance (Knit Sewing Machine)

Job Description / Responsibility

1. Maintenance Management

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for all sewing machines.
• Ensure maximum machine availability by minimising breakdowns and downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production, IE, and Planning departments.

2. Machine Installation & Commissioning

• Plan and supervise installation, relocation, and commissioning of sewing machines.
• Ensure proper calibration and testing before machines are handed over to production.
• Verify machine setup according to operation requirements.

3. Breakdown Control

• Respond immediately to machine breakdowns.
• Analyze root causes of recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain targeted machine uptime and response time.

4. Preventive Maintenance

• Develop annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance schedules.
• Ensure maintenance checklists are properly followed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance history records.

5. Spare Parts Management

• Forecast spare parts requirements.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of critical spare parts.
• Coordinate with Procurement for timely sourcing.
• Reduce maintenance costs through efficient inventory management.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and mechanics.
• Allocate manpower effectively.
• Conduct regular technical training and skill development programs.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Introduce automation and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Kaizen, and 5S practices.
• Improve machine efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

8. Production Support

• Ensure machine readiness before production starts.
• Support Production and IE in improving sewing efficiency.
• Participate in new style changeovers and production line balancing.

9. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in the maintenance workshop.
• Ensure safe operation of all maintenance equipment.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Mechanical Engineering
• [Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology ]students will get preference
• Skills Required: Operation & Maintenance, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Experience Requirements

• 12 to 20 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
