About the role

JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapies provides operational leadership for inpatient rehabilitation services within an academic medical center, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Rehabilitation Technicians across acute care, critical care, specialty units, and inpatient rehabilitation.

The Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, patient-centered rehabilitation services while advancing quality outcomes, operational excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, workforce engagement, and the academic mission.
The position partners closely with Nursing, Care Management, Hospital Medicine, PM&R, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosciences, Critical Care, and other clinical leaders to optimize patient mobility, discharge planning, and functional recovery.

EDUCATION
Master’s Degree required; clinical doctorate preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years of progressive rehabilitation experience.
  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Acute care experience required.
  • Academic medical center experience preferred.
  • Licensed PT, OT, or SLP eligible for Vermont licensure.
