Location: Papua New Guinea Position Summary
- Lead and manage site-wide Health, Safety, and Emergency Management systems, ensuring compliance with PNG regulations, industry best practices, and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a proactive, zero-harm safety culture.
- Maintain and improve the HSE Management System (HSEMS).
- Lead risk assessments, hazard management, and critical control verification.
- Oversee safety across underground mining, processing, logistics, maintenance, and construction activities.
- Manage incident investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response readiness.
- Lead safety training, competency, and contractor compliance programs.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and safety performance reporting.
Must-Have Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in OHS, Mining Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years' mining safety experience, including underground operations.
- Strong knowledge of PNG mining and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership, risk management, and incident investigation experience.
- Experience in remote, high-risk mining environments.
