About This Role
This role involves leading the execution of assortment reviews and analyzing online programs and trends for The Home Depot. The individual will drive analytics related to promotion, pricing, and profitability, providing insights to Merchandising to increase total market share. It suits a professional who can analyze data, generate key reports, and identify opportunities across multiple departments with Direct Fulfillment Merchants.
Responsibilities
- Drive consistent category-level strategy planning with Merchants, coordinating necessary data from store and online systems, along with data from key competitors
- Develop project templates and concise reporting results for Online and Store Merchants
- Create and execute KPI reporting, ensuring accurate data collection while highlighting key insights to drive decision making
- Manage the execution of key programs and new online initiatives
- Partner with functional areas such as Supply Chain, Core Merchandising, Vendor Compliance, and Inventory Management to ensure effective solutions that can be leveraged across all areas
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
- 3 years of work experience
- Strong strategic thinking ability
- Superior analytic skills (quantitative and qualitative)
- General management skills
- Strategic thinking; process focus
- Ability to influence others at all levels within the organization
Nice to have:
- MBA
- Online and/or Retail Store Experience (both preferred)
- Financial planning and analysis experience
- Advanced computer skills to retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data with experience with MS Office; MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and statistical software

- Direct reports: 6 (accountable for direct supervision of work activities, personnel issues including selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development of subordinates)
- Travel: less than 10% of the time, typically overnight
