Manager, Corporate Communications

About This Role

Managing corporate communications involves shaping the Capital One brand's presence in India, both externally and internally, as a top-tier tech hub. This role focuses on attracting engineers and data scientists through an authentic talent brand and keeping local teams informed and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Tell clear, compelling stories in Indian business, tech, and mainstream media to build Capital One
• Partner with enterprise Brand and Talent Marketing teams to develop content that raises awareness of Capital One and builds its reputation as a tech leader and tech employer of choice in India
• Run end-to-end planning and execution for tech conferences, hackathons, and industry events to bring the brand to life in developer communities
• Manage PR and event agencies, draft and approve press releases, bylines, and prep senior leaders for media interviews, keynotes, and panel discussions
• Spot reputational risks early, handle crisis communications when needed, and make sure external messaging meets global brand and legal standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or Journalism
• At least 10 years of experience across PR, internal communications and talent branding within a Global Capability Center (GCC), tech company, PR agency (tech client experience) or global financial services firm

• Understanding of media relations, thought leadership, and executive communications
• Advanced knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools and techniques including solid hands-on experience with v-logs, blogs, events, and podcasts
• Experience in managing budgets, vendors and global communications compliance standards
• Strong team leadership and senior stakeholders management skills in a complex, matrixed, global organization
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and influencing skills
