Manager, Broadcasting Operations (Trackwork, Programming and Administration)

About This Role

Managing broadcasting operations for trackwork, programming, and administration is the core of this role within the Racing Division. This position involves overseeing live coverage of local and overseas horse racing, producing promotional videos, and formatting betting and racing information for various media. The role suits a candidate familiar with the horse racing industry who can manage production, manpower, and operations while maintaining team performance and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the standard of performance of the team
• Resolve all kinds of issues regarding manpower, services, and operations
• Sustain and allocate appropriate manpower and resources for Live operations and project production
• Work closely with team manager for staff training and development of race day and non-race day operations
• Take responsibility to oversee, plan, arrange, and execute all Trackwork videos pre and post-production workflow
• Take care of all administrative work for the team
• Co-ordinate with other teams or departments to ensure smooth Live or daily operations
• Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, Languages, Advertising, Multi-Media & Video Production or related disciplines
• A minimum of 6 years' copy-writing experience with advertising agency
• Experience in live broadcast operations preferred
• Good sense of trends and initiative to stay up-to-date, be self-motivated, proactive
• Good communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours
• Ability to travel frequently to China as operations requires
• Knowledge and interest in horse racing an advantage
