About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services in compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves preparing mammography rooms, operating diagnostic equipment, developing films, and evaluating image quality. The technologist will educate patients, address concerns, and ensure proper procedure verification by reviewing physician orders and prior reports. Accurate data entry into computer systems is essential for efficient workflow. Providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality is a key responsibility. The role requires maintaining radiation safety, performing quality assurance activities, and adhering to regulatory standards such as MQSA and OSHA policies. The technologist must observe patient conditions during procedures, respond to contrast reactions, and assist with first aid if needed. Teamwork, communication, problem-solving skills, and a patient-focused approach are vital. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, Washington radiologic technologist certification, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of mammography experience.
