About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Regional Diagnostic Float Team, supporting imaging services across multiple facilities.
In this role, you will perform high-quality mammography exams, ensuring patient safety, privacy, and comfort, while reviewing images for quality and completeness. You will operate equipment safely, adhere to protocols, and maintain documentation supporting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing mammography exams per physician orders and protocols.
- Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and reducing anxiety.
- Ensuring image quality, safety, and proper documentation in PACS/RIS.
- Maintaining equipment, applying infection control measures, and supporting QC tests.
- Providing patient instructions, addressing questions, and supporting team training.
- Communicating professionally in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.
Qualifications Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
- Certifications in ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), and BLS.
Skills and attributes: strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, positioning, and mammography best practices; excellent communication; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
