About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality, safe imaging at a dedicated breast and X-ray center.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing mammography exams per physician orders and protocols
- Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort
- Reviewing images for quality and completeness on the first attempt
- Operating mammography equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety guidelines
- Completing quality control tests and ensuring proper image labeling and documentation in PACS/RIS
- Supporting patient privacy, assisting with transfers, and maintaining a clean, stocked exam suite
- Providing pre- and post-exam instructions, addressing patient questions, and supporting team training
- Maintaining accurate documentation and staying current with required education and communication
- Collaborating professionally within a fast-paced healthcare team
Qualifications Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience, including mammography in a hospital setting
- Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
