About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care at a dedicated breast and X-ray center.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing mammography exams following physician orders and protocols
- Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and privacy
- Reviewing images for quality, accuracy, and completeness on first attempt
- Operating equipment safely, maintaining infection control standards, and performing QC tests
- Labeling and documenting images properly in PACS/RIS, and completing procedure charges
- Supporting patient education, assisting with transfers, and maintaining a clean, stocked imaging suite
- Communicating professionally within a fast-paced team and supporting training of new staff
Qualifications Include
- High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience, including mammography in a hospital setting
- Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS
Skills and qualities: Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, positioning, and mammography best practices; excellent communication skills; ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
