About the role
Role: Mammography Technologist responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging.
Responsibilities: Conducts mammography procedures per physician orders, reviews images for quality, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety and infection control standards. Provides patient education, addresses questions, and documents procedures accurately. Supports team training and maintains a clean, stocked imaging suite.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and a minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist and mammography experience. Certifications include ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
Skills: Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and mammography best practices. Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills. Ability to operate imaging equipment safely and maintain quality standards.
