About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing mammography exams following physician orders and protocols
- Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and privacy
- Reviewing images for quality and completeness, maintaining first-time acceptance rates
- Operating equipment safely, optimizing dose, and adhering to infection control standards
- Documenting procedures accurately in PACS/RIS, completing quality control tests, and ensuring proper labeling
- Supporting patient education, assisting with transfers, and maintaining a clean, stocked environment
- Participating in team communication and training new staff as needed
Qualifications Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience, including mammography in a hospital setting
- Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS
Skills and qualities: Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and mammography best practices; professional communication; ability to work efficiently in a team; attention to detail and patient-centered approach.
