About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality, safe imaging in a collaborative healthcare setting.
Responsibilities Include
- Performing mammography exams per physician orders and protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Reviewing images for quality, operating equipment safely, and adhering to infection control standards.
- Completing quality control tests, accurate documentation, and maintaining imaging equipment.
- Providing clear instructions, addressing patient questions, and supporting team training.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining a clean, stocked workspace.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience and mammography experience in a hospital setting.
- Certifications including ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
