About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and support patients with compassion and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include performing mammography exams, reviewing image quality, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating equipment according to protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation in PACS/RIS.
The role involves reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, protecting privacy, and assisting with emergency situations. Technologists must perform quality control tests, ensure equipment readiness, and adhere to infection control standards.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience, and mammography experience in a hospital setting. Certifications required are ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
Skills and qualities include strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
