About This Role
This freelance mobile makeup artist role involves providing exceptional beauty services to clients in Cape Town, focusing on soft glam, full glam, and bridal makeup. The position suits a highly skilled professional with a strong portfolio who can consistently deliver polished results.
Responsibilities
- Create beautifully blended soft glam and full glam looks tailored to each client's features and preferences
- Provide elegant, long-lasting bridal makeup, as well as makeup for bridesmaids and wedding guests
- Deliver camera-ready makeup for special occasions, photoshoots and private appointments
- Consult with clients about their preferred look, skin type and product sensitivities
- Match complexion products accurately and work confidently across different skin tones, skin types and age groups
- Maintain excellent hygiene, with clean brushes, sanitised tools and properly maintained products
- Arrive punctually with a complete professional makeup kit
- Communicate clearly with The Visua team and respect client privacy
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional makeup experience
- Demonstrated experience in soft glam, full glam and bridal makeup
- A strong portfolio featuring your own work on real clients, including clear examples of bridal looks
- Excellent blending, skin preparation and complexion-matching skills
- Your own professional makeup kit, including high-quality products suitable for different skin tones and types
- Reliable transport to appointments within agreed Cape Town service areas
- Professional presentation, punctuality and strong communication skills
- Willingness to provide professional references and complete our onboarding and vetting process
- Relevant makeup qualifications or training are an advantage
Important Details
- Schedule: No less than 16.0 hours per week, appointments arranged according to client demand and your availability
- Contract: freelance, independent contractor opportunity
