Responsibilities
- Perform professional makeup applications for various occasions including bridal, special events, photoshoots, and character roles.
- Style hair for weddings, proms, fashion shows, and other special events with precision and creativity.
- Provide expert eyelash extension services, body waxing, dermabrasion, and hair threading to enhance client appearance.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in all beauty procedures by following strict sanitation protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout the service.
- Stay current on beauty trends, color theory, and new techniques to deliver innovative looks that meet client expectations.
- Upsell retail products such as cosmetics, skincare items, and hair accessories to enhance client experience and support sales goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Makeup Artist or in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse skills.
- Expertise in bridal makeup application technique and special event hair styling.
- Knowledge of character makeup effects and prosthetic application for theatrical or creative projects.
- Proficiency in eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, and hair styling techniques including hair threading.
- Solid understanding of sanitation standards and cosmetology licensing requirements where applicable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and understand their vision clearly.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm for beauty artistry.
