Job Description We are looking for a Major Gift Officer who can help us engage the local community to facilitate our vision of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of professional experience with a background in major gift fundraising in the YMCA or another not-for-profit organization.
- Knowledgeable in annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, leading teams, and donor relations
- Willingness to travel across Greater Philadelphia branch locations
- Technical proficiency in donor research and CRM platform
Essential Functions
- Helping to connect members to the philanthropic goals of Greater Philadelphia YMCA
- Focus on nurturing gifts of more than $1,000
- Maintaining an active presence in our region of focus with the goal of identifying new, or growing current, major gift prospects
- Prioritizing donor touches and sound stewardship for all current and potential prospects
- Supporting regional operations teams in major gift fundraising and pipeline cultivation, as well as regional board recruiting as needed
- Collaborating with the Marketing Department to design and execute internal and external departmental communications
- Ensuring compliance with internal and legal policies and procedures
- Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
