Maintenance Technician II

About This Role

This Maintenance Technician II role involves performing routine maintenance duties for apartment communities and single-family rental subdivisions, ensuring high standards of living and curb appeal. The position suits someone with prior maintenance experience who is capable of working in various conditions and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Be available to be on call for after-hours maintenance emergencies and other business needs
• Implement preventative maintenance programs
• Perform minor building, electrical, painting and plumbing repairs
• Keep an inventory of repair supplies and materials and prepare requests to purchase for signature of property manager as replacement needs indicate
• Complete final move-in and move-out inspections with property manager
• Turn units in a timely manner, including painting, carpet cleaning, general cleaning and other tasks needed to get a unit "rent ready"
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and moving furniture when needed
• Pick up and order supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle
• Be alert to any emergencies, suspicious persons or events and notify appropriate staff
• Travel to and participate in both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or the equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in Maintenance, Construction or related field
• 1 year of Maintenance experience
