Maintenance Technician

About This Role

This role involves operating and performing various electrical and mechanical duties on machines and equipment used in tile production. The Maintenance Technician diagnoses and repairs machinery to ensure proper operation and performs scheduled preventative maintenance. It suits a candidate with industrial maintenance experience who can work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Examine machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble
• Dismantle machines and perform repairs
• Make necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation
• Perform electrical repairs and installations
• Perform welding and plumbing repairs
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance procedures
• Inform supervisor of operational status of equipment and notify of any problem areas
• Follow ISO operating procedures
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of electrical code
• 1 year or more industrial maintenance experience
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work at heights requiring fall protection

Important Details

• Physical demands: Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May sometimes sit, climb or balance. May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment: Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. Noise level is usually loud.
