About the role
Role Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment across all operational areas. They perform general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery, conveyors, electrical systems, and building infrastructure in a distribution center setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Use electrical diagnostic tools and troubleshoot high/low voltage controls.
- Perform maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, motors, and building systems (lighting, plumbing, electrical).
- Document work activities and complete work orders, including parts and inventory used.
- Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space protocols.
- Collaborate with team members, vendors, and supervisors; mentor trainees where applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
- Experience with maintenance of forklifts, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and building systems.
- Electrical expertise with high/low voltage systems.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency with mechanical and electrical drawings; computer skills in email and Microsoft Suite.
- Welding skills are a plus.
