About This Role
Maintaining the company's fleet of tank trucks and supervising the mechanics who work on them is the core of this role. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures all trucks are safe, operational, and properly serviced, while also managing inventory and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare summary reports of truck performance, availability, utilization, and downtime analysis versus target
- Implement safety and maintenance checks for tank trucks
- Organize schedules and monitor kilometer run for preventive maintenance and repair work for all truck units
- Initiate work orders, canvass, and prepare purchase requisitions for repair and maintenance, and other needed supplies and expenses
- Ensure timely arrival of specified and correct spare parts
- Ensure availability of consumables, tools, and equipment necessary for repair works
- Organize inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Dispose of parts and other items
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activity per truck for reference
- Supervise work of mechanics
- Ensure that all trucks are properly maintained by the drivers and attend to their immediate needs
- Act as Inventory Custodian, in charge of requesting and releasing consumables for proper monitoring
- Maintain open communication with other departments
- Review procedures and recommend changes as applicable for improvement of motor pool services
- Maintain records of activity logs, repairs, and maintenance files per truck
- Respond immediately to any emergency cases of drivers or trucks
- Implement good housekeeping and safety standards and policy inside the motor pool and truck units and review the same for improvement
- Attend to emergency operations, mobilizing manpower, necessary tools, and equipment
- Ensure complete PPE for truck drivers and mechanics
- Prepare Incident Reports on emergency cases for elevation to proper authorities and immediate resolution within 24 hours
- Prepare Inventory Monitoring reports as needed (attachment to request)
- Prepare Tire Monitoring reports as needed (attachment to request)
- Prepare Motor Pool Activity - PMS, Repair Log Ledger Monthly reports
