Maintenance Supervisor

About This Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building equipment in a 160-bed long-term care home. This role ensures a safe and well-maintained environment for residents and supports the overall operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Complete all routine/preventative maintenance work and inspections
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all building equipment
• Respond promptly to all maintenance emergencies and address maintenance concerns of residents and family members
• Complete all documentation related to maintenance and maintain accurate records
• Assist in maintaining/cleaning equipment, report equipment concerns to the Departmental Manager, as required
• Assist with resident admittances, lifts and transfers, departures, and death
• Participate as a member for assigned committees and attend meetings, as required
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives
• Support with on-boarding of new hires, students, and volunteers, as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A secondary-school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment, best practices, and procedures
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions in English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities
• Proficiency with computerized documentation systems
• Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test
• Canadian residency or a valid Canadian work permit

About the Company

Tuoi Hac Village is a 160-bed long-term care home, an exciting new project dedicated to enriching the lives of residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., family members, valued employees, and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Spring of 2027.
