Maintenance Plumber

The Plumber, Maintenance will maintain and service a variety of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment in support of an Industrial Preventative Maintenance and Facility Maintenance Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of plumbing systems to include water distribution, non-potable water systems, fire protection systems, tactical vehicle wash facilities, and related equipment.

• Maintain commercial/industrial/residential plumbing fixtures.

• Maintain various pipes, various valves, connections, fittings, pumps, drains, packing, faucets, and spigots.

• Ensures work orders when complete are properly filled out and returned to work management

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum three (3) years field experience equivalent to that of a journeyman plumber in an industrial setting, maintaining building systems and components, preferably with experience supporting an industrial Preventative Maintenance Program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Possess the skills and knowledge to maintain sump pumps, supply and drainage lines (clearing obstructions)
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with hands and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices used in the field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
• Demonstrated skill in the care and use of the tools and equipment in the trades involved.
• Demonstrated ability to understand verbal and written description of technical work-related problems (i.e. drawings, floor plans, etc.)
