🚨 Now Hiring: Maintenance Mechanic
📍 Location: Abbott Park, IL 60064
📅 Contract: 12+ Months | Strong possibility of conversion
⏰ Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Candidates must be flexible with work hours for potential permanent conversion.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade production, packaging, filling, and conveying equipment.
- Repair pumps, gear heads, reducers, bearings, seals, belts, chains, sprockets, gears, and other mechanical components.
- Install and maintain Black Iron, Stainless Steel, Copper, PVC, and flexible tubing.
- Perform welding and fabrication on Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and Aluminum.
- Troubleshoot motors, electrical components, switches, timers, solenoids, and disconnects.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to support production goals.
- Follow GMP, OSHA, safety, and site procedures.
- Support overtime, weekends, or extended hours as required.
🎯 Qualifications
- Technical degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Mechanic experience .
- Hands-on robotics experience required.
- Manufacturing environment experience required.
- Cleanroom experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Hands-on welding, fabrication, and electrical/mechanical repair experience.
- Proficiency with maintenance tools such as multimeters, welders, lathes, mills, torches, micrometers, and calipers.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

- HVAC-only experience will not be considered.
- Carpentry-only experience will not be considered.
- Candidates should have a stable work history.
- Flexibility with work schedules is important for permanent conversion consideration.
