Maintenance Manager

About This Role

This role involves managing the physical building structure and all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate to regulatory standards and are maintained to the highest level. The manager is also responsible for adhering to legally mandated safety operating systems and managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. The position includes training, mentoring, and developing the engineering team, as well as scheduling employees and coordinating engineering activities to ensure efficient hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical building structure
• Manage all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and related equipment
• Ensure all systems operate to regulatory standards
• Maintain all property assets to the highest level
• Adhere to all legally mandated safety operating systems/criteria
• Manage budgets
• Manage capital expenditure projects
• Manage preventative maintenance
• Manage energy conservation
• Train, mentor, and develop the engineering team
• Schedule employees
• Direct and coordinate all engineering activities to ensure efficient management of engineering/hotel operations

Requirements

• Five years of experience as a Chief Engineer or facilities engineer in a hospitality-related environment
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and safety operating systems
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, National, State, and Local building regulations and codes, equipment operations, and preventive maintenance procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
