Maintenance Manager

About This Role

This full-time position in Kluang, Johor, involves overseeing all maintenance operations and ensuring optimal performance of industrial equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance technicians and coordinates activities to minimize downtime and maximize asset reliability, directly impacting production efficiency, safety standards, and overall business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute preventative maintenance programs across all equipment and facilities
• Manage and supervise the maintenance team, including scheduling, training and performance evaluation
• Monitor equipment condition and implement corrective maintenance actions to prevent breakdowns
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs and asset performance metrics
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company maintenance standards
• Liaise with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal operational disruption
• Manage maintenance budgets and procure necessary equipment, spare parts and materials
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective measures
• Report on maintenance performance and present recommendations to senior management

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management or industrial maintenance operations
• Proven experience supervising and managing maintenance teams
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and execution
• Competency in reading technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial facilities
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
