Maintenance Manager

About This Role

Managing maintenance operations for the company's Phoenix, Arizona and Ripon, California locations is the core of this hands-on leadership role. The Maintenance Manager will provide technical direction for maintenance and reliability across both sites, ensuring safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient operations. This role involves partnering with site leadership, Operations, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to strengthen preventive maintenance, reduce equipment downtime, support capital and process improvement projects, and build maintenance capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities across the Phoenix and Ripon facilities, providing clear priorities, technical direction, and leadership presence at both sites
• Develop, coach, and support maintenance employees to strengthen technical capability, accountability, ownership, and future leadership readiness
• Drive progressive and preventive maintenance programs focused on equipment reliability, zero breakdowns, reduced downtime, and lower maintenance costs
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance, shutdown, and master maintenance plans, prioritizing work based on safety, quality, production needs, and business impact
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and site leadership to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize operational disruption
• Lead root cause failure analysis for equipment issues affecting production, quality, safety, or reliability, and ensure corrective actions address recurring losses
• Ensure compliance with applicable GRMS, OSHA, LOTO, EPA, food safety, and internal safety requirements across both facilities
• Manage maintenance budgets and support capital projects, CERs, equipment upgrades, and plant improvement initiatives within approved parameters
• Maintain accurate equipment history, maintenance records, technical procedures, and standard work, while ensuring tools, parts, and documentation are available for effective execution
• Communicate maintenance priorities, risks, resource needs, project status, and reliability concerns to site leaders, while standardizing best practices across both locations

Requirements

• Associate's degree, technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of five years of related maintenance, operations, technical, or training experience
• Prior leadership experience is preferred
• Strong mechanical, technical, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability knowledge within a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience developing and executing preventive maintenance, shutdown planning, and equipment reliability programs
• Ability to lead and influence maintenance teams across both locations while building accountability and technical capability
