About This Role
This Maintenance Manager role involves overseeing all maintenance operations, facilities, equipment, and personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted business operations. The position requires strong leadership, technical and operational management skills, initiative, and the ability to make independent decisions and manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily maintenance operations and activities
- Lead, manage, and evaluate maintenance personnel, ensuring productivity, accountability, and compliance with company standards
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for company facilities, equipment, machinery, and other operational assets
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate timely repairs to minimize operational downtime
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, company policies, and maintenance procedures
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
- Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance issues and operational requirements
- Supervise contractors and service providers and evaluate their work quality and performance
- Prepare maintenance budgets, reports, and recommendations for management approval
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and cost control
- Respond to urgent maintenance concerns and coordinate appropriate corrective actions
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company assets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant maintenance or facilities management experience
- Proven management experience in supervising and leading a team of employees
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and sound decision-making
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and prioritize urgent operational concerns
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, workplace safety, and maintenance planning
- Willing to work flexible hours, including extended hours when necessary to address operational requirements or emergencies
