About the role
Duties:
- Address and respond to guest repair requests promptly.
- Communicate with guests to effectively resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment in kitchens and mechanical rooms, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Manage maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Drive hotel shuttle van (Valid Drivers License Required for this position)
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved methods.
- Demonstrate or acquire knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, replace light bulbs and A/C filters, and clean up thoroughly after repairs.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment and systems, including plumbing (e.g., plunging toilets, unclogging drains), electrical components (e.g., lamps, switches, outlets), and other guestroom items.
- Program TVs, handle general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory tasks.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before starting maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
- Exhibit basic computer skills for inputting air handler schedules and adjusting temperature settings.
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete required safety training and certifications; store flammable materials properly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Protect company assets; greet and acknowledge guests, address their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
- Uphold quality standards and expectations; foster positive working relationships and collaborate with the team.
- Communicate clearly and professionally; address colleagues’ concerns appropriately.
- Safely handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently; seek assistance for heavier items.
- Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders; perform tasks involving reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Use computers to manage work-related information; complete other reasonable job duties as assigned.
Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
