Mailroom Clerk Seasonal

About This Role

Maintaining the package room in a neat and orderly manner is the core of this seasonal mailroom clerk job, coordinating the acceptance and distribution of packages to residents and departments. The role suits a reliable and organized individual with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute packages from United Parcel Service and the United States Postal Service on a daily basis to residents and operations and management
• Scan into property software, sort and shelve the packages
• Maintain the package room clean and organized on a daily basis
• Provide the supervisor with weekly tally of daily tasks assigned
• Exhibit exceptional customer service skills
• Work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; additional shifts may be scheduled on Mondays, Fridays, and occasionally Sundays
• Work 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM shifts, with flexibility to work either shift preferred
• Perform other duties as required by your supervisor

Requirements

• Availability to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; additional shifts may be scheduled on Mondays, Fridays, and occasionally Sundays
• Flexibility to work either 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM shifts
• Prior residential package room experience preferred
• Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed
• Understanding of computers/technology
• Customer service skills
• Must be able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours
• Alternating weekend scheduling of assigned work will be determined at the discretion of the supervisor
• Schedule may be changed by supervisor based on job need
• Demonstrate accountability and reliability by taking full ownership of projects and outcomes, prioritizing precision and attention to detail, and approaching challenges with grit, resilience, and proactive problem-solving, while continuously engaging in learning and development to enhance performance
