About This Role

This full-time, on-site Machinist role involves setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders. The position suits a skilled professional who can maintain tight tolerances and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
• Measure and inspect parts
• Adjust machines to maintain tight tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to meet production schedules
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues
• Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Accurately document work performed
• Proactively communicate any equipment or production concerns

Requirements

• Ability to set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines, including lathes, mills, and related equipment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Strong measurement and inspection abilities using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools
• Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and basic shop math used in a manufacturing environment
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and adherence to established procedures
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
• Prior experience as a machinist or in a similar manufacturing role
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in a shop environment
