Machinist

About This Role

This Machinist role at Advanced Compressor Technology (ACT) requires advanced technical expertise in machining processes, CNC programming, and precision measurement to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities

• Read blueprints for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerance
• Perform general setup and fixtures of lathes and mills
• Inspect parts for conformance to requirements, holding close tolerances and maximum efficiencies
• Program various CNC machines based on machine language
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Complete paperwork to maintain records, fill out inspection reports, and follow department standards
• Work independently
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Willingness to support ACT’s policy of a drug-free work environment
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Demonstrated understanding of basic math skills
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, veneers, and calipers)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
