About This Role
This role as a Machine Operator for DB InfraGO AG involves operating and maintaining high-performance rail grinding machines nationwide. The position is suited to someone with a technical background, experience in operating heavy construction machinery, and a willingness to travel and work shifts.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the compliant maintenance and care of the high-performance rail grinding machine (HSM) according to guidelines
- Take over the technical leadership of employees
- Analyze faults and repair damage to hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic machine components
- Create regular monitoring of the machine's condition and initiate measures in case of deviations from the target state
- Be responsible for the technical instruction and guidance of employees for the safe use of vehicles
- Coordinate the work processes of construction machines with the respective construction manager, including compliant documentation of the construction process
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a commercial-technical field (e.g., as a track builder, mechatronics technician, electrician, industrial mechanic, or similar) or comparable qualification, and willingness to complete master craftsman training
- Willingness to acquire a driver's license for operating traction vehicles (all necessary training provided)
- Several years of professional experience in operating/maintaining heavy construction machinery for superstructure
- Initial experience in leading employees is an advantage
- Class B driver's license and a traction vehicle driver's license, or willingness to acquire one
- Nationwide deployment flexibility, shift work, and outdoor work are not a problem
- Basic knowledge of English
- Willingness to work on Sundays and public holidays
