Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

About This Role

Operating and adjusting packaging equipment, performing set-ups, and ensuring product quality are the core responsibilities of this Machine Operator position. The role involves maintaining equipment, performing wash and changeover procedures, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate set-ups on equipment in preparation for particular product runs
• Operate equipment and adjust as necessary to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specifications
• Inspect and test packages, and document results to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specifications
• Stage and check required materials for quick and accurate changeovers in production
• Complete and assemble all required documentation associated with the position
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Knowledgeable in GMPs and the HACCP program or willing to learn
• Sufficient math skills to calculate quantities of material required for orders being run
• Good organizational and communication skills in order to prioritize work and communicate changes to line workers
• Ability to handle small tools
• Ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to read and write in English preferred

Important Details

• Schedule: 2nd Shift
• Overtime: must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts
• Work authorization: sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position
