ENGINEER, ROLLING STOCK PROJECTS
[What you will be working on]
You will develop rolling stock and depot equipment specifications, and review design submissions from rolling stock manufacturers and depot equipment suppliers. The projects you will be working on include passenger trains, specialised track maintenance vehicles and depot equipment (automatic train wash plant, automatic storage retrieval system, underfloor wheel-lathe, etc.). You will also work on various engineering initiatives to improve reliability, operation and maintenance of the Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment. You will be working closely with cross functional teams from different disciplines within LTA, as well as with domain experts from rolling stock manufacturers and depot equipment suppliers. There will also be opportunities to work on innovative engineering elements of rolling stock and depot systems.
[What we are looking for]
• Background knowledge in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience in either: design; manufacture; testing and commissioning; or maintenance of rolling stock, depot equipment, or E&M systems
• Candidates with knowledge and experience in using computer aided design and or project management will have an added advantage
• Ability to work independently
• A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and resourceful
