We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a fast-paced, 41-bed NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit.
Key responsibilities include
- administering medications
- hanging IV fluids
- charting assessments and care plans
- communicating with physicians
- performing dressing and trach care
- managing NG tubes, ostomies, and providing patient education and discharge instructions.
Qualifications include an Illinois LPN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a college diploma in practical nursing.
Skills and resources required involve proficiency with wound vacs, drains, traction devices, orthotic equipment, telemetry, and patient connection tools.
Role specifics involve working alongside RNs, assisting with patient care based on acuity, and supporting recovery in a collaborative team environment.
