About This Role
This engineering role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing scalable enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code development platform. It involves delivering end-to-end application solutions that align with business objectives and technical specifications, and collaborating with various teams to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code development platform
- Deliver end-to-end application solutions that align with business objectives, technical specifications, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and third-party systems to facilitate seamless data exchange and application interoperability
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through effective coding practices, architectural improvements, and platform capabilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex application defects, production incidents, and technical issues to maintain system stability and availability
- Implement secure coding standards, authentication mechanisms, and data protection measures across application development activities
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and technical assessments to maintain high-quality software deliverables
- Support application deployment, release management, version control, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen development standards and engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in modern application architecture, software design principles, and enterprise application development
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications using the OutSystems platform
- Familiarity with supporting applications on AWS, GCC or equivalent cloud platforms, with working knowledge of IIS, Windows Server, networking, security, high availability and disaster recovery
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, complemented by strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills to deliver reliable solutions in a collaborative environment
