Loss Prevention Officer Lead

About This Role

Leading the loss prevention team and ensuring the security of the premises are the core functions of this role. This position supports management in achieving goals and involves training new officers, maintaining schedules, and performing surveillance activities. Responsibilities

• Lead by example in the performance of job duties
• Support management in setting and meeting goals
• Maintain working knowledge and performance of Loss Prevention duties
• Assist in training current and new Loss Prevention Officers
• Maintain working knowledge of Loss Prevention Officers work scheduling process
• Monitor, control, and document vehicular traffic
• Secure premises by patrolling property
• Inspect vehicles
• Inspect closed containers
• Monitor controlled access points
• Complete and verify required reports in a timely manner
• Record observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Prevent loss and damage to company property by providing a uniformed presence
• Investigate incidents of irregularity
• Contribute to a team effort
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to walk extensive distances throughout the facility for extended periods
• Must have flexible hours, a "Floater” type schedule to help cover planned and unplanned absences or any other scheduling needs, including weekends and holidays
• Must successfully complete a background check
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
