Duties
Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties:
- Develops, maintains, and administers directorate-level CPI plans for the logistics directorate. Develops and maintains feedback mechanisms for tracking deployment/effectiveness of CPI plans.
- Leads process improvement teams in identifying, prioritizing, assigning, distributing, and balancing the team's workload in accordance with organizational goals, customer requirements, and the abilities of the team members themselves.
- Conducts broad studies and projects with respect to the maintenance and logistics operations and workforce to help resolve current issues within all logistics functional areas, as well as for short and long range strategic planning for the command's logistics community.
- Develops strategies to present to directorate leadership to accommodate needs that are necessary to meet the logistics mission.
- Represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-12) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include developing, managing, and maintaining the performance improvement of logistics enterprise programs; integrating continuous improvement and compliance philosophies and initiatives into a logistics organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of AFRC assigned weapons systems and associated Logistics equipment. Knowledge of the functions of the Air Force and the Air Force Reserve Command.
2. Knowledge of Air Force, AFRC, and gaining command logistics policies and procedures.
3. Knowledge of a wide range of analytical/investigative techniques and qualitative/quantitative methods to conduct comprehensive studies and make recommendations on substantive operating programs and policies.
4. Knowledge of operating programs in order to conduct comprehensive studies, analyzes findings, and makes recommendations on substantive operating programs.
5. Knowledge and understanding of a comprehensive range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command.
6. Ability to recognize interrelationships of the various aspects of operating programs and skill in interpreting and analyzing such information to evaluate overall program status and effectiveness.
7. Ability to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy and diplomacy.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiates complex issues; and maintains good working relationships.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE**:** Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
