About the role

Duties
The incumbent provides program development guidance and planning integration to organizations internal and external to the logistics center as part of a coordinated schedule supporting a three-year plan for cyclic inventory management and when required, special inventories. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring these schedules are carried out as scheduled. The Inventory Integrity Monitor will schedule and chair a pre-inventory conference on a quarterly basis with appropriate FAALC personnel who have input into the inventory process.
Incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Logistics Center's Business Systems Group (BSG) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of the manager or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and may perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs.
He/she manages the Inventory Integrity and excess programs for the FAALC. Additionally, the incumbent is required to identify and report potential problem areas, trends, accomplishments, issues and practices inherent in management of the Inventory and Excess programs. The incumbent recommends policy and guidance to Logistics Center managers to insure that the Inventory Integrity Program fully supports the "Clean Financial Audit." Additionally, he/she conducts a variety of studies and analyses which involve one or a combination of the following general areas: program planning, execution and control (i.e., program/system planning and evaluation, program performance measurement); management improvement and control (i.e., I.S.O., organizational planning and development, productivity and inventory management improvement). Information regarding monthly inventory activity will be presented in a briefing to Logistics Center management.
Incumbent serves as Excess Monitor for assets that are no longer required and responsible for charting, reporting and monitoring activity in the excess queue. He/she will collaborate with the divisions/responsible functions to clear and work identified excess items. Additionally, he/she will maintain the excess exclusion table for items that should not be considered in excess calculations (i.e., bench stock). This will include but not limited to monthly performance charts. Extraction of details may be required for further analysis.
Incumbent also serves as the point of contact (POC) for BSG work instructions and AML policies on Docushare. He/she reviews the annual renewal requirements and routes work instructions and policies, to include business rules, for revisions and ultimately signature. Develops administrative regulations including the Excess and Survey Review Plan and portions of the Inventory Integrity Guide, and criteria for measurement of inventory accuracy.
Applies experience and advanced knowledge as the inventory specialist for FAA and Logistics center inventory audits. He/she is responsible for the timely and accurate responses to audit for quantities, costs and counts, and other inventory requests as submitted.
Incumbent is also responsible for inventory history information as requested by divisions and Logistics Center management. This also includes research for stock buy requests.

Qualifications
Qualification Standard: Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.
To qualify for this position at the FV-H (GS/FG-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G (GS/FG-10-11) level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to: experience with inventory control regulations and policies; experience recording and tracking inventory activity and needs; experience selecting alternative source of supply; and coordination and control of inventory items.
