About This Role

This Logistics Engineer role supports Contract Logistics operations across Western and Southern Europe, focusing on operational excellence, productivity improvements, and successful customer implementations. The position involves providing engineering expertise to both established and new operations, analyzing performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting network optimization. It combines continuous improvement, operational support, and project-based work, contributing to existing customer operations and new business launches.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple Contract Logistics sites across Western and Southern Europe with engineering analysis, operational improvements, and performance optimization initiatives
• Develop and maintain labor models, capacity plans, productivity calculations, and operational performance reporting
• Analyze operational data and identify opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, efficiency, and cost performance
• Partner with site leadership teams to enhance warehouse processes, resource utilization, space optimization, and operational workflows
• Support the implementation of new customer operations, warehouse launches, and expansion projects, ensuring operational readiness and successful transition into business-as-usual operations
• Assist with warehouse fit-outs, process implementation, testing, commissioning, and launch activities where required
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Monitor key operational metrics and provide recommendations to improve performance and customer outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Automation, Solution Design, Procurement, and Project Management to deliver operational and strategic initiatives
• Support standardization and best-practice sharing across the regional Contract Logistics network
• Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics engineering, warehouse operations, contract logistics, operational excellence, or implementation projects, ideally across multiple industries (Automotive, Chemicals, Industrial)
• Knowledge of labor planning, capacity modeling, productivity analysis, and process improvement methodologies
• Ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into practical business improvements
• Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics technologies, or operational performance reporting tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
