Logistics Coordinator

About This Role

Coordinating time-critical global shipments in a highly regulated environment is the core of this role, supporting the movement of life-changing research samples, clinical trial medicines, and other pharmaceutical products across the world. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented logistics professional to join Biocair, playing a vital part in ensuring seamless shipment execution, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and helping to maintain the highest standards of compliance, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for shipping orders and customer enquiries, delivering a proactive and professional service
• Manage end-to-end international shipments for pharmaceutical, clinical trial, and healthcare-related products
• Coordinate with airlines, suppliers, overseas offices, and delivery partners to ensure smooth shipment execution
• Proactively monitor live shipments, manage issues and escalations, and provide timely customer updates
• Manage after-shipment activities including temperature monitor returns, reusable packaging logistics, and chain of custody information
• Investigate customer complaints, complete root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions (CAPA)
• Ensure accurate data entry and system updates across Biocair and customer platforms
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, transport, customs, and global operational teams to deliver service excellence

Requirements

• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or another time-critical operational environment
• Strong customer service experience with a customer-first mindset
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Confident problem-solving skills with the ability to manage issues through to resolution
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance service quality and cost efficiency
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Experience working with shipment management systems, freight platforms, or similar operational systems
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice to have:

• Experience in pharmaceutical logistics, cold chain shipping, or healthcare-related logistics
• Dangerous Goods certification
• Knowledge of global customs procedures
