Logistics Coordinator

About This Role

The Logistics Coordinator oversees and coordinates the efficient and safe movement and distribution of inventory. This role focuses on improving workflows and ensuring that logistics processes, daily schedules, and productivity meet organizational goals and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation to ensure timely and safe movement of materials
• Create daily work schedules and assign daily routes of delivery
• Dispatch CDL drivers to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Track and correct shipping errors
• Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Foster a positive work environment and ensure team productivity
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement improvements
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
• Work with the Fleet Department to ensure transportation reliability
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards

Requirements

• Effective communication: writing, speaking, and all interpersonal communication
• Excellent customer service, client relations, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced data analysis and data visualization utilizing multiple data sources
• Understanding of obstacles and effective solutions
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Nice to have:

• 3+ years logistics/dispatch experience
• Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
