About the role
**Specialty: ** Anatomical Pathologist Physician
**Coverage Dates: ** Immediate availability pending credentialing for a 1-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
**Setting: ** Laboratory environment.
**Shifts/Schedule: ** Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
**Daily Responsibilities: ** Manage approximately 20 general surgical cases along with 5-10 cytology cases per day, encompassing both gynecological (GYN) and non-gynecological (Non-GYN) specimens.
Responsibilities include bone marrow assessments, gynecological cytology, non-GYN cytology, and surgical pathology related to biopsies and excision specimens.
**Call Schedule: ** No on-call responsibilities.
**Volume of Work: ** Estimated caseload of 20 general surgical cases and 5-10 cytology cases per day.
**Electronic Medical Records (EMR): ** Experience with EPIC required.
**Certifications Required: ** Board certification in pathology and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
**Credentialing Timeline: ** Approximately 4 weeks from application submission.
**Licensing Requirements: ** Candidates must possess an active Washington state medical license; licensing candidates will not be considered.
**Temporary Privileges: ** Available; emergency privileges can be granted.
