About the role
**Dates of Coverage:** 40 hours per week, commencing mid-December 2026 through at least April 2027
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700 hours
**Patient Demographics:** Adult and geriatric populations
**Care Setting:** 100% Inpatient care
**Average Patient Load:** Variable, dependent on hospital admissions
**Core Responsibilities:** - Provide post-procedural daily care

Facilitate patient and family communication and education

Collaborate closely with one employed neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner
**Documentation/EMR:** EPIC
**Average On-Call Hours:** 8 hours
**Number of Providers Required:** 1
**Practice Environment:** Inpatient/Hospital-Based
**Teaching Responsibility:** None
**Mandatory Qualifications:** - Board certified (REQUIRED)

Valid Virginia medical license (No exceptions for providers needing licensure) (REQUIRED)

Active ACLS and BLS certifications (REQUIRED)

Active DEA registration (REQUIRED)

Clean background with no malpractice or license-related issues (No exceptions) (REQUIRED)
