Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for patients in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Perform emergency procedures as necessary
- Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously
- Provide patient and family education on complex medical situations
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the critical care unit
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in critical care medicine
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent
- Experience in a critical care setting preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid medical license in the state of Missouri
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety awareness
Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 18-20 per day
Setting: MICU and SICU
Common critical care procedures required
Support Staff: Physicians, nurses, techs, etc.
EMR: MediTech
Must be board-certified
Additional Certifications: ACLS and DEA
