Locksmith

About This Role

Working as a Locksmith, you will deliver high-quality locksmith services to a diverse customer base, installing, maintaining, and servicing mechanical and electronic locking systems for commercial and residential clients. This role suits a technically capable professional with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to excellent customer service, working both independently and collaboratively with the wider service and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair residential and commercial locking systems
• Work with custodial locking systems
• Open, service, and repair dial and digital safes
• Identify, select, and replace lock components using correct manufacturer part numbers
• Perform fault finding, upgrades, and compliance-related work
• Maintain tidy, organised work practices on customer sites and in company vehicles
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
• Accurately complete job documentation

Requirements

• NZ Certificate in Locksmithing (Level 4) preferred but not essential
• Certificate of Approval (COA) or able to obtain
• Experience with ProMaster, InstaCode, custodial locks, safes (dial and digital), residential and commercial lock systems, door mortising are highly regarded
• Experience with Bilock and Galaxy systems (preferred but not essential)
• High standard of tidy, organised workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Clean criminal history (background checks required)
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence
• Professional and reliable approach to work
