Responsibilities
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other regulatory standards
- Prepare, process, and verify loan files, including contracts, disclosures such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and escrow documents
- Collaborate with underwriters to facilitate loan approval by providing necessary information and clarifications
- Conduct credit analysis and evaluate borrower financial information to determine loan eligibility
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and mortgage servicing policies throughout the loan lifecycle
- Manage the loan origination process from initial application through final approval, maintaining meticulous records using 10-key typing skills and basic math proficiency
- Coordinate with loan officers, escrow officers, and banking partners to ensure seamless processing and timely closing of loans
Requirements
- Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing practices
- Experience in loan origination processes within the financial services or banking sectors
- Knowledge of TILA regulations, contracts management, and Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency in credit analysis, escrow procedures, and basic math calculations relevant to loan processing
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for document verification and data entry (10-key typing)
- Ability to interpret complex financial information accurately and efficiently
