Loan Processor

About This Role

Working within a dynamic team, the Loan Processor manages mortgage loan files from the initial application through to closing. This role is ideal for an individual with an understanding of the mortgage process, who can handle various loan types, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage mortgage loan files from application through closing, ensuring files remain organized, complete, and compliant
• Gather, review, and verify borrower, credit, income, asset, identification, and property documentation
• Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title companies, appraisers, insurance agents, and third parties to collect information and resolve outstanding items
• Monitor loan pipelines, track deadlines, update file notes, and help keep loans moving toward timely closings
• Assist with traditional and reverse mortgage/HECM files, ensuring applicable requirements are met
• Identify potential file issues early while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Prior mortgage processing experience preferred
• Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, or reverse mortgage/HECM files is a plus
• Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, loan conditions, and loan process flow
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with loan officers, processors, and support staff
• Familiarity with loan processing software and mortgage technology platforms is preferred
• Professional, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service
• 2 years of loan processing experience (Required)
